WHO WE ARE AND OUR AIMS.
Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are a form of community-led housing, set up and run by ordinary people to develop and manage homes as well as other assets important to that community, like community enterprises, food growing or workspaces. CLTs act as long-term stewards of housing, ensuring that it remains genuinely affordable, based on what people earn in their area, not just for now but for every future occupier.Patterdale Parish CLT will provide local occupancy, affordable housing within the parish to try and address the significant problem of the lack of affordable housing available to the local community. Housing providedby the CLT will always prioritise localneed and affordability, and the housing will always be owned by the CLT for the benefit of the community. This will help keep people in the community and help employers retain staff.
